Teachings from the Sacred Record Mishiikenh

Walk Like Him

learning to be a Peacemaker

In the journey of spiritual growth and understanding, "Walk Like Him" serves as the first step in a series of teachings designed to guide spirit men and women back to the good way of living, as we were intended to act when the Creator placed us here, towards becoming peacemakers. Just as a seed contains everything necessary to grow and bear fruit, so too do we possess the potential to fulfill our intended purpose, with the Creator's guidance. Drawing from the wisdom of the Midewiwin, the keepers of the knowledge on the Heart of Heaven, the way of the Creator, and the timeless lessons of nature, this teaching invites us to emulate the Creator's path of harmony and compassion. As we explore the metaphor of the salmon's journey, we learn to navigate life's challenges with grace, trust, and unwavering faith, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to peace and unity. Through this and the subsequent teachings, we are called to cultivate the light within, nurturing our capacity to bring peace to ourselves and the world around us.

While we encourage and support one another on our spiritual journeys, it is essential to recognize that no one is above or below another. Each of us is held accountable by the Creator for the unique talents, knowledge, and understanding we have been given. We do not require institutions or corporate churches, which may seek to shape us according to their own designs rather than the Creator's intentions. Instead, through calm reflection on the bimaadiziwin, the good way, we find the true guidance we need to walk the path intended and designed for us by an intimate Creator who equally experiences our story with us.
