See the salmon, children of the earth. They journey from the wide and distant sea, yet their hearts call them home.

The river sings to them of the place of their beginning, and though the path is fraught with rocks, rapids, and unseen peril, they do not stray.

So too does the Creator call to your soul, even when the world presses against you.

The fish does not resist the river with anger, nor does it rail against the stones that impede it.

It moves with faith in the path, guided by the hand of the One who shaped the rivers and the seas.

So must ye trust the currents that flow within your own hearts, for the Spirit of the Creator moves through each of you, calling, guiding, shaping.

The villagers knelt with him, dipping their hands into the water. "Do ye feel it?

The river carries life from its source to the sea and back again.

So is the soul of man carried by the hand of the Creator: from birth to growth, through trials and joy, ever returning to the heart of God."

"Behold the journey, not all is gentle. Stones bruise, waters rage, currents threaten to sweep the weak aside.

But even in struggle, the salmon does not despair. It listens for the whisper of the river, the voice of the One who made the waters and the fish and the very air that stirs their gills.

The same Spirit flows through your life. When ye face hardship, do not turn from the path, for it is the path given to your soul to bring forth the light within."
