Argentina tribe receives the message to the House of Israel - by Seventy Gary Maakay Metzger

“There is more room in a broken and contrite heart, and that must be remembered. Whom is it that is sought? Whom is it that is nurtured? Whom is it that is rebuilt and restored? We recognize all who spread the Gospel of Restoration, which is the path of Resurrection.”
— Ogimaa Songab, “Chief Midegah”
Chief Timoteo Honeri of the Mocoit tribe was introduced to Apostle Hugh Caldwell and Seventy Gary Metzger in February this year. When he was asked if he had ever seen the Record of the Nephites (The Book of Mormon), of the Star Peoples of the Americas, he said no, and they gave him one. Then he invited them to come back and teach.
They returned in June of 2026 and even though there were three evangelical churches in his small community, he had not been involved. The missionaries extended the call to the House of Israel that Yeshua was preparing to gather His people and to hear His voice. He responded to the call and asked to be baptized after a time of preparation.
Brother Gary returned with his wife Sister Tita and on October 4, 2026 Chief Timoteo entered a covenant with Jesus Christ and was baptized to bury the old nature and to be made new in Christ. Also in attendance at the service were his four children and their families. May the Spirit of the Eternal touch the hearts of the house of Israel as their Good Shepherd, Yeshua, calls them.
Brother Gary Metzger is an Evangelist in the Joint Conference of Restoration Branches rooted in the branch of Joseph Smith Jr. that remained within Missouri following the death of Joseph Smith Jr.
On September 21, 2026 Brother Gary was received into the Anangokaa Midewiwin Grand Teaching Lodge and received his name after 2 years of observations, and he was officially named Maakay, Elder in Heaven, and received his lodge skins recognizing his commitment to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ within indigenous communities.

The Anangokaa or Star People tribe of the Americas recognizes all branches of Joseph Smith Jr. who received a sacred history of the Star Peoples migrations into the Americas in the time period of the late 1820s during the United States Governments forced relocations.
