How will anyone know the truth of historical records when they read them?
The “other records” prophesied to come forth in the Bible and Book of Mormon by Yahaawzhowa (Yehoshua)
The prophet Isaiah speaks of a time in the last days when Jehovah’s covenant people “forget Jehovah as their God” and “fail to keep covenant with HIM.’ He also writes using adjectives like “blindness” and “deafness” despite God’s covenant people having his gospel and his written law. This blindness is not a lack of information, nor is the deafness “losing the ability to hear,” but rather a willful choice to not respond to what they already see and hear. These words are clearly meant to be read by those covenant peoples who have been given his words and his gospel.
Isaiah 42:18-20 18 O you deaf, listen; O you blind, look and see! 19 Who is blind but my own servant, or so deaf as the messenger I have sent? Who is blind like those I have commissioned, as uncomprehending as the servant of Jehovah, 20 seeing much but not giving heed, with open ears hearing nothing?
Isaiah describes only those people who recognize the truth found in written words describing Jehovah’s end-time happenings and who look for new records coming forth are identified as Jehovah’s “sons” and “daughters.”
Isaiah 43:6-8 I will say to the north, Give up! to the south, Withhold not! Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth 7 all who are called by my name, whom I have formed, molded, and wrought for my own glory. 8 Let go the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf, yet have ears.
Those covenant members who find reasons to complain and dispute more of God’s words coming to light and how nobody can bring forth records in 2026 are also those who are deaf, blind, and kept in the dark.
Isaiah 59:9-10 Redress remains far from us, and righteousness is unable to reach us. We look for light, but there prevails darkness; for a glimmer [of hope], but we walk amid gloom. We grope along the borders like the blind; we flounder like those without eyes. We stumble at noon as in the dark of night; in the prime of lif,e we resemble the dead.”
Isaiah 8:16 16 For Jehovah has said, Bind up the testimony; seal the law among my disciples. 17 I will wait for Jehovah, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and expect him.
According to Jewish records scholar, Dr. Avraham Gileadi, “Instead of being a “Rock of salvation” to his unrepentant people (Isaiah 17:10; 26:4; 30:29; 44:8), Jehovah words are a “stumbling block” and “obstructing rock,” letting them stumble over his word and fall prey to their enemies, to be broken, ensnared, and taken captive by the king of Assyria/Babylon in his Day of Judgment, the same as with the wicked of the world (Isaiah 10:3-6; 14:17; 24:17-18; 28:13). Because Jehovah is the same yesterday, today, and forever, what he does in ancient times, both for good and for evil, establishes a pattern for what he does in the end-time, when history repeats itself.”
As biblical history shows, even when his people in general apostatize and Jehovah hides his face or presence from them, certain “disciples” remain loyal, as did the disciples or “sons of the prophets” anciently (2 Kings 2:3-7; 4:38; 6:1). At such times, history shows that Jehovah withdraws the testimony of his truth and the law of his covenant from among his people and preserves only the few among them and who are willing to live by them.
Since the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, we have known that there will be other records to come forth in the due time of the Lord, and in the “end times.” God speaks about the meaning of the existing records as well as those additional records being “sealed up.” What exactly does “sealed records” mean?
Jehovah and His prophets explicitly teach in the Book of Mormon that He visited other sheep and that they also have records
1 Nephi 13:39 And after it had come forth unto them, I beheld other books, which came forth by the power of the Lamb…
2 Nephi 3:17-18. 17 And the Lord hath said: I will raise up a Moses; and I will give power unto him in a rod; and I will give judgment unto him in writing. Yet I will not loose his tongue, that he shall speak much, for I will not make him mighty in speaking. But I will write unto him my law, by the finger of mine own hand; and I will make a spokesman for him. 18 And the Lord said unto me also: I will raise up unto the fruit of thy loins; and I will make for him a spokesman. And I, behold, I will give unto him that he shall write the writing of the fruit of thy loins, unto the fruit of thy loins; and the spokesman of thy loins (Manasseh) shall declare it.
2 Nephi 29:7-8 Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth? 8 Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word?
2 Nephi 29:9 9 And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one word ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another; for my work is not yet finished; neither shall it be until the end of man, neither from that time henceforth and forever.
2 Nephi 29:11-13 For I command all men, both in the east and in the west, and in the north, and in the south, and in the islands of the sea, that they shall write the words which I speak unto them; for out of the books which shall be written I will judge the world, every man according to their works, according to that which is written. 12 For behold, I shall speak unto the Jews and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the Nephites and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the other tribes of the house of Israel, which I have led away, and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto all nations of the earth and they shall write it. 13 And it shall come to pass that the Jews shall have the words of the Nephites, and the Nephites shall have the words of the Jews; and the Nephites and the Jews shall have the words of the lost tribes of Israel; and the lost tribes of Israel shall have the words of the Nephites and the Jews.
3 Nephi 16:1–6 And verily, verily, I say unto you(Nephites), that I have other sheep, which are not of this land, neither of the land of Jerusalem, neither in any parts of that land round about whither I have been to minister. For they of whom I speak are they who have not as yet heard my voice; neither have I at any time manifested myself unto them. But I shall go unto them, and they shall hear my voice, and shall be numbered among my sheep…
3 Nephi 17:4 4 But now I go unto the Father, and also to show myself unto the lost tribes of Israel, for they are not lost unto the Father, for he knoweth whither he hath taken them.
3 Nephi 21:9 For in that day, for my sake shall the Father work a work, which shall be a great and a marvelous work among them; and there shall be among them those who will not believe it, although a man shall declare it unto them.
3 Nephi 26:9 And when they shall have received this, which is expedient that they should have first, to try their faith, and if it shall so be that they shall believe these things, then shall the greater things be made manifest unto them.
3 Nephi 27: 23-26 23 Write the things which ye have seen and heard, save it be those which are forbidden. 24 Write the works of these people, which shall be, even as hath been written, of that which hath been. 25 For behold, out of the books which have been written, and which shall be written, shall this people be judged, for by them shall their works be known unto men.26 And behold, all things are written by the Father; therefore, “out of the books which shall be written shall the world be judged.’
Ether 4:13-14 13 Come unto me, O ye Gentiles, and I will show unto you the greater things, the knowledge which is hid up because of unbelief. 14 Come unto me, O ye house of Israel, and it shall be made manifest unto you how great things the Father hath laid up for you, from the foundation of the world; and it hath not come unto you, because of unbelief. 15 Behold, when ye shall rend that veil of unbelief which doth cause you to remain in your awful state of wickedness, and hardness of heart, and blindness of mind, then shall the great and marvelous things which have been hid up from the foundation of the world from you, yea, when ye shall call upon the Father in my name, with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, then shall ye know that the Father hath remembered the covenant which he made unto your fathers, O house of Israel. 16 And then shall my revelations, which I have caused to be written by my servant John, be unfolded in the eyes of all the people. Remember, when ye see these things, ye shall know that the time is at hand that they shall be made manifest in very deed.
The Book of Isaiah and the Book of Mormon both unambiguously teach:
1. Jehovah/Jesus Christ/Yahaawzhowa visited HIS other sheep
2. These people were not Gentiles
3. They were lost tribes known to God
4. They were all commanded to write His words
5. Their records clearly exist because Jehovah says they do
6. Their disclosure is future and conditional
7. The willful refusal to study the “word written’ keeps many members in the dark
7. Books/records will come forth in the last days, and many will deny their authenticity
8. All records will be unified as witnesses to HIS mission
The Book of Mormon makes it clear that Jehovah was never meant to visit or teach the Gentiles, only the Tribes of Israel, which He refers to as HIS sheep, and that God the Father writes all scripture and that the Holy Ghost would be of special importance to the Gentiles. His visits to all tribes of the House of Israel were the “other sheep.”
So how then are we to know the truth and understand it? The Book of Mormon makes it crystal clear…
1 Nephi 10:19 says 19 For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round.
The real question is NOT “Will God keep his promise of giving his children his “words written” but rather “How will written records of Christ’s visits to ANY people come forth… and will we recognize them as God’s writings when we read them?
